The CIRCE Trio (Laura Kay, soprano; Isabel Fairbanks, cellist; Zach Mo, pianist) is innovating in the field of chamber music throughout the US. Based in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City, CIRCE programs diverse and exciting programs for the soprano-cell0-piano instrumentation. CIRCE's programs include works originally arranged for soprano, cello and piano, as well as their own arrangements of well-loved pieces of the classical repertoire. Their operatic duets reimagined for soprano and cello have drawn acclaim, using the cello to represent one of the operatic parts and featuring a refreshing conversation between voice and instrument.
CIRCE has been featured in venues around New York City and the country, including La Mama Gallery in Chelsea, 92Y and Turtle Bay Music School in Manhattan and at the Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, Maryland, among others. Dedicated to giving back to their communities, they perform regularly in the Washington Heights and Hudson Heights areas as resident performers.

Vocalise by Andre Previn
As performed by the CIRCE Trio (Laura Kay, soprano; Isabel Fairbanks, cellist; Zach Mo, pianist) at the Sari Carel/MOC (with Eric Legris) Art Installment at La Mama Gallery in SoHo, New York City. An interesting opportunity, the ensemble performed this work with each member in a in different corner of the gallery. The installment included an audio piece consisting of bird calls recorded and played back during the performance.
